Story Extensions

  • Magnet Fishing Fun: fish and strings in folder
  • School of Fish
    • Mark a start line and a finish line, opposite of one another in a party area
    • Choose one kid to be the "shark" who starts the games standing behind the finsh line.
    • Remaining kids play a "school of fish" and line up behind the start line (single file), holding each other's waists
    • At signal, school of fish tries to cross the finish line whie shark tries to tag the last "fish" in line. the school of fish can sway or spiral to protect last "fish" in line
    • If the shark tags the last "fish" he continues playuing the shark. If the school of fish crosses the finish line without getting caught the "head" of the school becomes the next shark, and the shark becomes the next "tail."
  • Crab-Walk Relay (two teams race on all fours like a crab)
  • Pin the fish in the sea (this seems a bit cruel)
