Story Extensions

  • Weare going to the beach! : follow a script and tell them about beachy things like sea shells and put down beach towels and a paper yellow sun, etc.
  • Songs: We're Going to the Beach, My Castle, At the Beach, To the Beach

Arts and Crafts

Flying Gull
  • White 9 x 12 construction paper (2 per kid)
  • Black, yellow, and brown crayons or markers
  • One long rubber band and length of string per kid
  • Scissors, tape, hole puncher
    • Look in folder for patters and detailed intructions (requires folding)
  • Base- a cake of personal size Ivory Soap (it floats, styrofoam can be used instead)
  • Mast- a stick, wood or plastic
  • Sail- toothpick, tape, and colorful wrapper from a bread bag
  • Posterboard scissors, and ballpoint pens.
